I'm not sure you and I really disagree, because it seems you are saying what
I always have thought. Trolls only really ruin groups when posters give in
and leave.
When B&C first started their campaigns, I was heartened that posters and
lurkers stuck it out for a long time and just treated B&C like the minor
annoyance they are.
I'm sorry you don't understand what my point is with the clue I gave.
Maybe if you'd make up your mind about which position you really want to
defend, it will become clear.
The trolls want to parade their silly asses around pretending they are
morally superior to BLs.
By using these clues, they will only find the groups is by joining us all in
viewing the movies they curse us for watching.
No one is twisting their arms to post their filth (meaning the hateful
trolls posts) and no one is helped by them doing so. They have NO moral
mandate for chasing us around usenet.
Anyway, your message is at least not premature, as was Daktal's. At the
time he posted his message condemning me for exposing groups, I hadn't done
any such thing.
That is why I called him an idiot.
Maybe you should go back and read my post, instead of just reacting to it.
As for me somehow helping the trolls find new groups just by acknowledging
they exist, get a fucking clue, sister. These trolls know they are nothing
but a petty annoyance and that groups like this will go on and on and on and
on and on, no matter WHAT they try to do to disrupt them.
The funny thing is that if they had even a tenth of a brain between them
all, and the REALLY wanted to stop these groups, there are COUNTLESS ways of
doing JUST THAT.
Were I myself a troll, I could make every binary group I chose to become a
confused mess of worthless gobbilty-goop...OVERNIGHT.
I could employ three separate but concerted troll "tricks" to not only foil
any attempt at posting binaries, but also any attempt to explain to others
how to thwart my malicious efforts.
The only things I could not do would be to truly FORCE posters to quit.
Therefore, I would have to spend a great deal of time and energy to keep up
my assualt.
Trolls have proven, time and again, that they don't have the stomach for a
truly intensive, prolonged confrontation. They just like posting their
hateful text messages declaring victory, which all too often they have the
right to do since so many posters are so easily dispatched by their
temporary attacks.
It all makes me wonder, what did these guys do when a bully picked on them
in grade school? Did they hand over their lunch money in a pre-addressed
envelope and yank their own underwear up their own butcracks upon seeing
their tormentors? This seems most likely.
Guess what I did?
I told those bullies exactly what I thought of them, explained that they
would NOT get any such satisfaction from me, and encouraged others to do
exactly the same.
Many disagreed with me then.
And it seems a few still do.
Don't run from trolls. Kill filter them and POST LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW.
And every once in a while, thank the trolls for doing your advertizing for
you. That's what trolls are REALLY for, after all.
If anyone else, especially those who currently post in this or other groups
where I have invited criticism, would care to comment, I am happy to
consider any message that doesn't insult me or question my motives, as
Daktal did.
For now, anyway, I have no reason to repeat or reproduce the clue I already
gave.
I'm particularly puzzled as to why no one is criticizing the poster who
quoted Harry Potter. Is a double standard at work here? If so, WHY?
