This seems weird, and I feel dumb asking about it, but here it is - I
just hope someone has some idea what may be going on.

Here, I receive NBC on Channel 11 (cable).  Something is happening on
this channel that does not happen on any other channel (that I have
discovered anyway), or on my second TV (I have tested the anomaly).

When a program 'breaks' for commercials, the sound goes mute.  I do
hear a very slight 'scratchy sound' when this happens, but no voice,
music or anything else.  Then suddenly, seemingly after a minute or
two, when the commercial is for an up-coming program on the channel,
the sound comes back and remains.  This happens the entire evening of
TV-watching.  This never happens with the program itself.

I have tried changing to other channels, and back again, but to no
effect.  The other channels remain okay, but channel 11 remains mute
until it decides I should hear some sound.  I have also tried turning
the set off and on again, with the same result.

Isn't this strange?

Anyone?

Thanks

Willy
