I don't know, not knowing how the test works, but a five year old can
certainly express pleasure or displeasure.

I'm not sure that's true; certainly an adult can _force_ a child to do
anything, but convincing (which I take to mean, persuade him/her it's a
good idea) is another matter. No amount of convincing will get round
