UPDATE: The unwanted shut off problem resurfaced when the IPOD was shut
off by me using the remote and then restarted.
So re-setting the IPOD appears to be only a temporary fix.
Bose is now suggesting installing the upgraded OS for the IPOD Nano gen
3, from 1.0.2 to 1.0.3.
