I would say it is right. But you miss the point; having invoked the
Lord, Jason is unable to address DS even to save DS's soul without
breaking his oath to God.
ISTM Jason has placed his dislike of DS ahead of his alleged interest
in DS's soul, and painted himself into a corner.
Which is one reason, I think, we're instructed not to make vain oaths
on the Lord in the first place.
