I don't believe that "all" cultures agree that marriage is between a
man and a women (cue the anthropologist, stage right). I seem to
remember from my hazy college days (it was the 60's after all, and I
don't remember all of it) that some cultures that some cultures did
recognize marriages between people of the same sex.
