* The "I Love Lucy" show debuted in 1951 and ran until 1957. It
was one of the first TV shows shot on 35mm film.
* Desi Arnaz, along with Karl Freund, pioneered the three-camera
technique that became standard for TV sitcoms.
* William Frawley of the "I Love Lucy" show had a clause in his
contract allowing him to take time off to attend the World Series when
the Yankees were playing.
* Lucille Ball died in 1989. At that time, the "I Love Lucy"
show was appearing in over 80 countries in syndication.
* Lucy Ricardo's hometown was Jamestown, New York, the real
hometown of Lucille Ball.
