I totally agree with you.
The LEA's technical advancements, in tracing posters, plus the
international cooperation between such agencies, has certainly changed
since the old days.
While the newbies can be expected to act foolish, what amazes me are
the antics of some of the older regs.
I've seen regs use anonymous servers, chained together, and accessed
via a series of proxies, to post binaries, and then exchange e-mail
with each other!
Not all of them, but several do engage in such silliness.
It's as though having reached a certain level of security, they feel
invincible.
Incredible!
Back when a couple of the new PGP groups were starting, I was invited
to join in, but I declined.
I don't have anything to contribute, have probable seen 99% of
whatever they have, and cannot allow my security to be a part of a
group thing, where the chain is only as strong as it's weakest link.
Besides, at my age, young girls are between 30 and 45 years old!
