Someone asked Paul Newman about the secret of his long marriage and he
replied something to the effect "Why go out for a hamburger when you
can stay home and have steak?" Your metaphor makes more sense since
one could argue that even with a steady diet of steak one might like
the occasional burger. I guess the key is that you can't have both.
Even in Newman's metaphor you likely would be plenty willing to
forswear hamburgers if they would jeopardize all steak in the future.
As for children, little kids in general and little girls in particular
are inherently cute. I can even understand finding nude pictures of
them appealing since they are sort of miniature women. I find much of
the logic used to justify the current anti-porn crusade kind of
skewed. That said, I can't see why anyone would want to actually have
sex with them, especially not in preference to the real thing.
