The world doesn't revolve around how the files you upload are listened
to, bub. On my home system I listen to them as FLACs. I don't have a
portable FLAC player or an SACD player in my car so 320kbps MP3's are
my only alternative as of now. On top of that, a lot of the CDs you
post aren't readily available any more and even with the loss in
quality they are still the best sounding versions out there. How and
why does that make me a noob, idiotic, stupid, silly, foolish, witless,
brainless, mindless, thoughtless, unintelligent? I live and breathe
music and I have for most of my 54 years, so I don't appreciate being
belittled by the likes of you for the way I listen to it and I'm sure
others here feel the same way.
Have you even compared a properly encoded LAME Stereo 320 MP3 made from
these remastered SACD files to one created from the original 44/16
releases? There's a HUGE difference in quality, but if you're too much
of a fidelity snob, I guess you won't bother.
Are you really going to try and dictate how "your" files are treated
and who can visit this group to download them? Why do you even care? It
doesn't affect you or your life even a little bit.
I'd be careful about calling someone a noob too. I've been on Usenet
since the late 80's and later helped charter and create many of the
audio groups you probably now enjoy. Looks like *you* are the noob, you
arrogant asshole.
