I agree. It IS odd. But it's real. Mac-users won't succeed with
hfa's files using Quicktime or QT compatible players. They'll have no
problem with b.s.'s. It has nothing to do with a corrupt download, or
incompletion. His files are complete. They have frame-rate problems
that b.s.'s do not. In fact, I had the very file I got from hfa, but
lost it somehow in the past. Never had a problem of any kind with that
one, either. As I said, if one's content to use VLC, there's no
problem on a Mac, either.
I've known others to have files that had something minor that QT
disliked. And I've invariably found a work-around. (Though it took a
PC to beat that godrotten i263 codec! ;-))
If I were hfa, I'd replace the files he has with the ones that b.s. is
posting, however. For the very reason you advised not posting
"converted" files.
