Please describe your problem with AVI files. My Green Acres AVIs from
season 4-6 (dated Nov 21, 2012) all play fine for me using VLC player.
What does "don't translate well with our TV's" mean? My TV does not
translate anything. It just plays the HDMI stream from my computer.
If you use VLC player, try an older version. My ver 2.0.1 (from 2012)
works better on some older files (like DVR-MS) than my newer version
