In my personal opinion is what Thane said.
First because how could a program detect copyrighted material from a =
LP rip ? i could beleive that if we are ripping directly from a new =
CD=E2=80=99s with some kind of new hidden tag or code in their archives =
it could be possible but when you convert an analog recording made 30 =
years ago into a digital one with your own tools there is no way that =
any systems could detect something related with copyrighted material =
because it could be anything else.
It may have more sense if two or three days after the post were made, =
those files were deleted from the server after a complaint comming from =
some one ( thing that as far i have understood never has happened in =
newsgroups ) but i doubt it. I have only seen that this kind of =
deletions have happened in youtube in which a bunch of videos are being =
deleted when they are copyrighted but not here.
We just have to look the other classical groups ( and not only the =
classical ones but rock and pop too ) in which everyday a new or old DVD =
is posted everyday as same as in the loosless and mp3 classical groups =
you can find any kind of CD=E2=80=99s or DVD posted everyday, new and =
old CD=E2=80=99s of any kind, Archiv, Deutsche Grammaphon, Sony, RCA and =
many other labels.
So, that answer from the easynews staff was a very clever way of =
hiding the main problem and i think the main problem is that easynews is =
having some kind of big maintance program that for sure must be causing =
a lot of problems to them ( and us )
