Actually, that has been their stock response in their support group for
several years where copyrighted material is involved. The law, at least in
UK/US areas, would hold them responsible for violations if they appeared to
offer the least bit of assistance in this regard. I am certain there are
corporations that would love to see Usenet destroyed, and they are busy
using wholesale takedown notices to accomplish that end.
I'm afraid we have seen the best days of Usenet.
