They have already (tried) to justify it with new TV channels...that we
didn't want and didn't ask for... and will probably never watch. Also
free Broadband speed upgrades... that we didn't ask for.
They also keep blaming 'SkyTV' for the price increases (access rights)
but don't give specifics.
You and RIB must be 'Big (download) Hitters' to even need the Top
Speed service !?
I download a fair bit a day and upload a decent amount... but I have
never had to go above the lower speed option to download whatever I
need.

I can usually upload about 8GB before the connection starts choking.
I just don't get Why you pay for the Top service unless you are
uploading at the rate of the 'teevee crew' or similar !
