Do not misunderstand me, i do not say the faq for this group is not good and if it is
outdated at some points it be so it always is better than nothing.
What i see is that people ask for something and others post what was asked for and
most of the time it is done ad hoc and is it not true that people who get themself a
program just fly off without reading one word in the user manual?
Well same thing here i think but again i agree it is a good thing people who know
tell people who are new or do not know how to do things and when they do so come from
their high horses and treat people like people and not as a no good for nothing
because something was not done according the rules.
Even in other newsgroups where people make a mistake people tolerate it the first
time but tell the poster what to do.
If the poster persist in making the same error over and over they will be flamed but
till now i have never seen a newsgroup with a zero tolerance in regard to that.
In regard to the NZB files and Binsearch, my expireance is that sometimes they come
in handy and it keeps me from pulling down a 2 Million headers long list of a couple
of hundred MB.
I think everybody has his own way to handle those kind of things.
In regard to posting the faq on a regular base you are right, someone has to make
hisself responsible for that and if for some reason that person can not post them
anymore someone has to take over.
It is a pitty people think the poster owns the posting and what i tell now is what i
know from hearsay.
For some years back everybody in this group posted the faq at the moment it was
needed.
If someone new came to the group and told he/she was new and asked how things were
done here someone posted the faq for that person, this does not happen anymore.
I also thank you for your time and efford explaining things to me.
Have a nice day Bobbin.
