I made this list a while back. Seems a lot of people were interested in what the differences are in
the various software. This is what I was able to determine. The list was quite long and I gave up
on researching the others but those that I'm aware of are listed at the end.

First...viewing and converting files....
All of the programs that let you view also convert between formats.
Embird (www.embird.com)is excellent for viewing all the designs in a
directory. Its "Iconizer" lets you use Windows' thumbnail view - you
don't even have to run the program! The trial version expires, but the
Iconizer function doesn't (or so I'm told).
None of the programs offer a fast double-click to view a single design,
such as Windows XP can do for some image formats. but they can and do
show all of a folder or zip file at one time. (They can NOT see inside
RAR files - RAR is good for downloading but on your computer you're
better off with ZIP files or simply uncompressed designs in folders.)
