FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) for alt.binaries.bos

1. WHAT IS THIS GROUP FOR?
This group is devoted to sharing photos, videos, text, and other
material related to boys and male youths, and for related on-topic
discussion.
2. WHAT KIND OF MATERIAL IS APPROPRIATE IN THIS GROUP?
Non-erotic nudity is on-topic. This includes naturist or FKK images
and videos, classic studio nude photography, nude paintings and
drawings, and other tasteful representations of the young male body.
Images of clothed boys and youths are, of course, also on-topic.
Photos and videos should be non-pornographic. That means they should
not contain sexually explicit images, acts, or poses. Explicit content
is not limited to sexual acts, but also includes models with obvious
erections (whether clothed or nude), close-ups of the model's genital
area, and sexually provocative, "come fuck me" poses. Laws governing
pornography differ from one country to another, but a common-sense
standard should apply here. The vast majority of stuff posted online
is not even close to ambiguous: it's either way over the line, or it's
not.
Observing this simple guideline keeps the group safe to hang around in.
3. ARE THERE OTHER GUIDELINES FOR POSTING?
Please try to post images with their original filenames, if at all
possible. This is important to help collectors organize their photos
and videos, and for determining at a glance whether you already have
something before downloading it again.
A general description of the post -- either in the Subject line or in a
separate text message -- is also helpful. This can be simply the name
of the series (like "BoyPhoto #4"). It may also include a short
descriptive label like "Naturist" or an abbreviation like "NN" (no
nudity). This helps group users decide whether they might be
interested or not.
4. ANYTHING ELSE?

A couple of pertinent points:
a. Please do not flame posters or other users.
b. Discussion and disagreement are fine, but angry and insulting
online behavior poisons the atmosphere of a group, and causes posters
to go elsewhere.
c. Please ignore trolls. Ignoring trolls means: Do not respond
to them AT ALL, no matter how obnoxious their behavior. Use your
kill-filter to block their posts if you have trouble restraining
yourself.
