Trolls all think that they are clever, but they aren't.
The best way to filter them out is to configure your newsreader
to download only the headers of new posts, then look them over
and run a check on the alias's posting history if there's any
doubt.
Mark only obvious non-trolls for downloading the articles and hit
the server again.
Trolls always stupidly assume that people read their articles,
even if no one replies but their own sockpuppets (like the other
responses on this thread). Once it becomes clear that no one is
even downloading their articles, they fade away like farts in the
wind.
The fact is, that any not-very-bright and ignorant child with
their mommy's computer and their daddy's credit card can post on
the Usenet under numerous aliases through multiple newsservers.
Only people with the integrity and courage to post under a singleand unique alias, allowing whoever wishes to killfile them to do
so, have any credibility at all.
"TJ", you aren't everywhere. You aren't here. The only thing I
received was a request to download your article (the headers).
That request was denied.
