He, and others in the admin., have admitted this several times. Then
in their next sentence they negate the admission, they reiterate the
old memes that make WMD irrelevant-- ' the grave and gathering
threat', 'Saddam sponsored terrorism', 'inspections weren't working',
etc. etc. So between 1/3 and 1/2 of Americans still believe Saddam
was behind 9/11, had WMD, was developing nukes, even though once in a
great while, when pressed especially hard, Bush will admit it's not
so.
