Loudmouth Michael was a condescending sportscaster who liked to talk
down to his audience.
For example, he'd often lead into a personality feature by blustering,
"Now I want to talk about an extraordinary guy [or gal] that you never
heard of ... "
I for one often took offense at his assumption that I'd "never heard
of" someone that I'd actually read or heard about elsewhere a day or
so before the Skull's know-it-all intro.
This superior attitude was in evidence throughout his career on D.C.
television. He, along with others, was why I stopped watching Channel
4 News.
I had enough of the obnoxious bastard!
