Dysfunctional Characters from the Barney Miller TV series.
a.. Fish: the elderly guy that spends half the shift in the =

b.. Harris: the writer that looked forward to leaving the =
precinct... only to have any of his royalties go out the window because =
he was sued=20
c.. Wojo: could be a standing Polack joke, but instead, is the =
idealistic cop: sometimes a little too energetic, but deep down.... a =
little bit too energetic=20
d.. Dietrich: Insecure in his own intelligence.=20
e.. Yemana: Shows how a man can rise to his level of incompetence =
by being the official coffee maker... and the maker of the world's worst =
coffee.=20
f.. Leavitt: the little guy that wants to run with the big dogs.=20
g.. Lugar: Loud-mouthed inspector. Ya don't know if he's an honest =
cop or not by the way he talks. Longs for the day of the back room and =
the rubber hose.=20
h.. Chano: Hispanic officer. Left too soon to fully develop any =
dysfunctions other than speaking Spanish when excited.
It would appear that Barney Miller was the only normal cop in =
the series. .
