Centennial, western miniseries with Richard Chamberlain

It came out in 1978, then was released on VHS about ten years later.  Most
folks say it will never see a commercial DVD release because of all of the
licensing red tape, four directors, over 100 credited actors with speaking
parts, many of whom have died and their estates want more than the studios
are willing to pay, and so on.
