Are you sure all dvds are 480p?
The reason I'm asking is because several people claiming to be
knowledgable about dvds said that progressive dvds can not do closed
captions simply because they are progressive Because there's not any
interlace signal on progressive dvds. according to them..
And several dvds I have do indeed have closed captions on them besides
just subtitles. Which supposedly means that the signals on those dvds
are interlaced.
I don't know the real answer. I just know that I do indeed have several
dvds that have the regular closed captioning on them in addition to the
subtitles brought up by the dvd player.
