The story is relatively common in real-life, and there
have been endless such stories told on TV dramas.
Yes, I have a clipping about a teenage girl landing a small plane after
her father passed out. This took place years after the "Emergency!"
episode. I'm also sure I saw an old lady on the "Tonight" show years
ago who found herself in the same circumstances. Johnny Carson
interviewed her about landing a plane after the pilot had a heart
attack or some other medical crisis which proved fatal. She talked
about her friend patting the poor man's face the whole time trying to
revive him. But except for the "Emergency!" episode I've never seen it
dramatized on film.
