That sounds pretty complicated and expensive to me. I think you'd be
much better off just getting a distribution amplifier and running coax
around the house. The price of a quality amp is around $50. Coax is
a dime a foot or so. You may need a few connectors too.
$100 or less should cover the cost to do the whole house. There are
wall plates that look like outlets but have coax connectors that you
can put on the walls so there are not ugly wires all over the place.
Run the wires thru the basement. You'll need a 1/2" drill but to pass
the ends thru the floor or walls.
If you were just broadcasting an audio signal, a CB, walkie-talkie,
or small FM transmitter like a "Baby Monitor" would do the job. But a
TV signal is complex. I have used a Baby monitor to listen to my MP3
files in my garage. Just put the transmitter by the computer speakers
and listen to the receiver in the garage.
