Unfair end of space program...

My final speech this semester is about the space program.
The Apollo moon mission to land two men on the moon
and return them safely to this Earth accomplished
a lot more than just sending a few people to the moon.
In order to get to the moon other things had to be invented
or improved.
1 ) Education had to be improved both in k-12 and Higher Education.
Algebra classes had to be added to High School Math curicculums
and college math also got more complex to blast into space.
The desire to eventually go into space inspired many children
to learn challenging mathematics in the 1960s through 2010.

2 ) Clunker mainframe computers had to be greatly improved for
the space program. Gemini and Apollo and the Space shuttles
all needed advanced computers on the ground to plan each
spaceflight. The news reporters often discussed a LAUNCH WINDOW
of time ( Which had to be calculated on advanced computers!! )
Computer hardware improvements included replacing vaccum tubes
and core memories with smaller and faster integrated circuits.
High level computer programming languages including FORTRAN
were developed and improved and used in the space program.
After Apollo ended the reusable space shuttle program was
started.
Space shuttles used 8086 CPUs. In 1985 when the first space
shuttle had to be ready for launch the newly developed
8086 CPU was the most advanced CPU available. It used
segmentation where the segment value is shifted left by four bits
and added to the offset to create a 20 bit address instead
of only a 16 bit address like most other CPUs.
The 8086 that might have been primarily developed for the
space program eventually evolved into the 80286 and the 80386
and the 80486-DX2(66). The 80486-DX2(66) can run advanced
Windows 98 SE.
Federal money that was used for research and development on the
space program gave us all better education and BETTER COMPUTERS.
There would be no small portable computers without a space program.

It is very unfair that the Democrats have decided to spend
money that should be going to NASA on a subsidy program
to subsidize health insurance companies without even
helping actual Doctors.
The last U.S. space shuttle flight represents and end to many things
and not just the hope of exploring outer space. When the
space shuttles are sent to museums imagine them being filled
up with dusty old math textbooks and personal computers that
have benefited from the space program.

Is there going to be an areospace plane that is larger than the
space shuttle to carry people to a space station in orbit ??

When is congress going to pay for it??
As far as I know, Congress has terminated funding for NASA
in a severe downsizing so that the manned space program will
end in June of 2011 and the unmanned space budget is severely
reduced.

Scince computers would not exist without the Apollo moon mission
and the space shuttle program and Microsoft Windows could not exist
without modern computers i am wondering whether President Steve
Ballmer
could paint a Microsoft Windows logo on the tail of every space
shuttle
that will be in or is in a museum??

The termination of the space shuttle program will reduce inspiration
for education. Higher education will be considered an unaffordable
luxury every bit as unaffordable as manned space exploration as soon
as
the last space shuttle lands hope will turn to dissapointment as
thousands of professors and teachers are laid off.

Can the mighty TEACHERS UNIONS lobby the U.S. congress to extend the
space shuttle program so young people will still be inspired to take
advanced math classes in order to prepare for possible future
spaceflights instead of laying off teachers ??

Pretty please vote to extend the NASA space shuttle program.
Repealing Mitt Romneys mandatory health insurance with
federal subsidies ( Romneycare ) will save trillions
of dollars that could get us large areospace planes
and possibly even a warp powered STARSHIP within five years!!!!!
Space shuttles DO NOT belong in museums because we still need
to fly them into outer space!!!
