Glad tro see a DECENT CLEAN topci for once!!
I wonder if the GVODFATHER use was due to the Paramount Pictures
connection--like Looney Tunes, Disney and MGM soudntracks likewise
(then again Paramount frequently borrowed Warner';s I WANAN BE LOVED BY
YOU and DIsney's HI HO as wlel as sdome of their own songs)
SANFORD AND SON did one of these and Peter Baldwin, a frerquent
director fo The Brady's and of WONDER YEARS , as I just remember (and
this makes even MORE confused something which I 've ALSO noted----that
one of the directors of thes two older shows and the kid (Fred Savage)
in WODNER YEARS ahre the same NAME-Jack Arnold!!)
SANFORD AND SON's Hawaii episode had a lot of the the character
sveterans, familiar types, that Sanford used: radio and TV veterans
Peter Leeds, Sheldon Leonard, the emmy winning producer and
gangster-actor, as the jewel smuggler and Frank nelson of JACK BENNY
and i love LUCY, famed for the "Yessss" bit, doing that with Fred
(Redd Foxx) & lamont (DeMond Wilson). (i\ ("It's MY first time (as a
captain), TOO"!! LOL!)
Inronically...THis, on ival NBC (to the BRADY BUNCH's ABC)--was done in
1972, same years as the BRADY one!!
AND in three parts, too!!!!
