Hi, The genesis children was not filmed in Greece, but in Southern Italy, i
n a place called Palinuro, now a wealthy marine resort (unfortunately!!). I
just bought a copy from a SF on-line shop.
The movie is certainly weak in acting and in the overall story, but I found
it to be a fascinating memory of the early '70s ideals, against power (her
e represented by the only adult of the movie, who is a priest, a teacher, a
miltitar, a capitalist), and in the defense of the absolute freedom of men
(hence the boys' nudity, that has nothing to do with "paedophily"). It is
a hymn to wild Nature, to free thinking: in fact it opens with the statue o
f Giordano Bruno in Rome, and ends with Peter's answer to the priest: "At t
he beginning there was no God, then man created God in his own imagine".
More '60-70's than so...
