RUSSIAN PRESIDENT FALLS ON FACE IN FRONT OF FANS
Moscow - Russian leader Vladmir Putin filled hockey fans with
hilarity and horror while participating in an ice-hockey game,
wiping out after waving to his admiring fans, and falling
face-first onto the ice.
Initial reports suggested that President Putin, the aspiring
dare-devil, in trying to display his derring-do, had fallen
disastrously on his derriere. It was later confirmed, however,
Russia's fascistic but enfeebled leader had in fact fallen
farcically flat on his face rather than his fanny.
The 66 year-old Putin, who isn't getting any younger, flailed
frantically with his arms as he fell, but fortunately, the Botox
which has been repeatedly pumped into his fading face, to make
him appear artificially younger, cushioned his fall, and Mr. Putin
is reported to be in good condition.
President Putin, who is no spring chicken, has attracted a
feathered following, following his previous show-off theatrical
stunt of flying through the air and pretending to lead baby
cranes to Siberia. Large flocks of baby cranes, starlings,
bluebirds, sparrows and pigeons gather each morning outside his
window, thinking that he is their mother, chirping brightly in
anticipation that he is going to feed them worm-mush.
Senior advisors of the Russian President suggest that perhaps it
is time for him to engage in more sedate and age-appropriate
activities, such as bingo, canasta, bird-watching, macrame,
crossword puzzles, Scrabble, or watching television.
Others have suggested that if Mr. Putin feels a need to prove
something about his manhood, perhaps he should hire a stunt-double.
However, as the search begins to find who will become the
successor to the embarrassingly, obviously aging Putin, hopefuls
such as Alexey Ulyukayev, Ziyavudin Magomedov, Arkady Dvorkovich,
and various others with equally unpronounceable names are urging
Mr. Putin to go in just the opposite direction and to attempt
ever-more daring and death-defying feats.
For example, an aerial stunt to outdo Anton Martynov of the Mstislav
Zapashny circus, and swing from a carabiner from 100 ft in the air
without safety equipment. Or to be the top of a precarious human
pyramid on a tightrope, like the Flying Wallendas. Or to demonstrate
his expertise as an escape artist, like Harry Houdini, and get out of
a coffin, chained shut and dropped to the bottom of the Black Sea.
