AMERICA IS LOSING ALL ITS FRIENDS DUE TO ITS WARLIKE ECONOMIC TOTALISM
Let's look at the past two decades.
What we see is a very strange and largely self unexamined situation in
America.America really does not know itself very well since the late
1980s. It lost its mind in the Cold War. Largely it has not found it
yet, being unwilling to accept the true history of that era, extending
across a span of time that reaches right back to President Truman and
the founding of the CIA. It is like a split personality where one of
the two personalities is completely out of touch with the other. That
split will not really heal until that history is revealed, written, as
it really happened and as it really affected the world and Americans.
Everyone paid too high a price. The reckoning of that cost has not
even begun. The trouble is that without that reckoning the unexamined
habits of the Cold War era simply continue, now as business as usual.
America is out of touch with itself and largely functioning on the
basis of unexamined, overvalued, beliefs which are either no longer
relevant, or are simply wrong, when it comes to dealing with much of
the world beyond its borders. It knows not what it does, but it keeps
on doing, as if nothing has changed, and it is all "business as
usual". We hear an echo of some of America's leaders in that. Have
faith. All will be well in America and in the whole world. Simply
follow, and don't doubt America.
Now, what do I mean when I say that ?
What I am saying is that America has increasingly alienated more than
half of the rest of the planet, and lost a lot of its most stalwart
allies in the process. They still talk friendly, but they no longer
really believe in what they themselves are saying. After all, everyone
knows you have to talk nicely to the biggest bully or you might get a
bloody nose, if not worse. Diplomacy. It isn't worth crap. Diplomacy
means that you can have a meeting with 20 people and all of them
smile and seem to be saying nice things, while contemplating how best
to put the knife in your back. When you have to talk to the boss, even
if he is a complete nut case, and a socially, economically, and
psychologically violent bastard, you always talk nicely. Too much
depends on diplomacy.
Now, what went wrong ?
America has lost the ability to differentiate between commerce in the
world community and making military war. It no longer really knows
the real difference. It does not even think about this question. It's
not a question that Americans are taught to be able to ask and answer
factually and intelligently. Even its leaders have lost sight of this
issue. It is simply how it is. We do what we do. We don't even
question what we do. It has all become conquest by any means. The
covert war in world commerce has become as aggressive and persistent
as is any outright military engagement.
The world is effectively in a constant state of war, without even a
shot being fired.That is the effect of what America has been doing
with its "our way or no way" brutality, invasively attacking every
form of resistance, collective and individual, right across the whole
planet.
The world is broken in on by America. It is violated. It no longer
trusts or feels safe.
Imagine the massive efforts and expenditures of resources that that
really takes. Yes, and did you see any Congressional and Senate
approval for those programs and for those massive, costly resources
and technologies being employed ?
No. There is no legislation backing what America is doing in the
world. Congress and Senate are not even in control of their own
country. They have lost it and lost sight of it as readily as any
other true believers in the right, the good, American way, that
everyone, everywhere MUST follow.
No, that isn't right. That isn't good. That is not ethical. That is
not moral.
The world community has been waking up. They don't agree with America.
A lot of the disagreement comes from what is called "systemic abuse".
Systemic abuse is the
belief that you can beat your opponents, (meaning anyone of a
different mind, and opinion about
how to do something, what to do, or what and how to believe), using
modern science and technology. Instead of a tire iron to the kneecaps
you use more sophisticated and potentially more painful convincers.
Convincers that leave no visible marks or scars. So you think you can
get away with it. Thugs are thugs and one tire iron is as good as
another. That's on the one hand, for the resistant, who don't want to
do everything in the world the American way.
Maybe some might want to justify America's forcing its way, its own
concept of right, as to
every form of economic activity and instance of commerce, as "tough
love". After all if you believe so strongly that you are the only
right, the only way of doing anything, you tend to want to be sure
that everyone shares the same view. Even if you have to beat them into
it. You feel justified in the aggression. Belief is that way. If you
believe in your own economic, social and political policies, and
practices, strongly enough its no different from fundamentalist belief
that everyone must accept Jesus. You soon lose sight of any limits as
to what ought to be done, and what can be done, to convert the whole
world.
Now, who in government authorized use of those modern tire irons on
the economic and
socio-political knee caps of America's competitors ? The world would
like to know.
The world community does not deem it acceptable. It isn't right. It is
time for an international inquiry into this question. It is time for
the UN charter of rights to be invoked. It is time for the world
community to call America to task, to answer for itself, to that
community.
Now, added to that less subtle method you have the econo-socio-
political missionaries, who's role, like that of the religious
missionaries of any colonial period, is to convert the econo-socio-
political heathen to the new faith. Conversion, if you have studied
reason, but it argues well. It plays on sex and popularity, on
emotion, on human needs, social isolation and approval, manipulating
by any menas to get its way. It is a brutal game. (I studied cult
phenomena at the university level, years ago. The same formulas
appear in that. It helps if you also understand the psychology and
socio-psychological dynamics of totalism. I delved deeply into that
too. You probably know the novel or film "1984". Well, in some ways
that does touch on the subject and is worth considering, but it only
touches on it. Realities are far more complex. You can study
Stalinism, Nazi Germany, and a few other twentieth century examples
to learn more about cruder and more direct forms of how it is done.)
Now, the missionaries of conversion to a system of belief, pushing
their view to the exclusion of all others, are allied to the economic
warfare units who are more dangerous and better equipped than the
military's own psychological warfare units in that they don;'t seem to
have any clear boundaries or definite limits as to rules of
engagement. No one gets court marshaled for going too far, and leading
a econo-socio-political massacre. It never hits the papers that way.
has become the murderer.
If salesmanship does not work, you resort to the convincers. Don't
forget that that salesmanship itself is strictly limited to the
ideologically pure. Not everyone has the power to sell. You have to be
initiated as an American missionary of the American way, or don't
expect any effectiveness. You would be drowned out into socio-
politically made ineffectual disempowerment. Don't expect success
unless you sell the American way, the way Americans have to do. Does
that feel like a very violent arm twist ? Damn right it does. More of
it has increasingly become the way of the world.
The world is increasingly catching on.
fear.
It doesn't like America anymore.
It does not accept the idea that economic conquest, economic systemic
conversion carried on along a religious model of conversion to be
accepted without question and internalized like a totalist regime's
dictates, is acceptable conduct. Much less does it accept that
conduct being a parallel to the conduct of military aggression,
following the same model or paradigm.
No, the world doesn't like it anymore.
No, the world does not like America at all.
America must change.
Or America won't have any friends anywhere anymore.America has to
begin to understand that you cannot win real friends by making war on
everyone who disagrees with you, and on everyone
who has different social, political and economic ideas than you do.
you cannot win the world by forcing your own way as being the only god
given way, that everyone MUST follow.
No. You won't win that way. The world will toss you out. It won't
follow your dictatorship. It won't be convinced. You can try to make
the world a prisoner, and you can try to brain wash it
with your technology, but you won't win. You will lose because what
you did and how you did it is wrong. Morally wrong. Ethically wrong.
It is unacceptable to the world community.
