Insect Life

bound and framed
a broken example of failed wings
sifts and sorts matching data
trying to find lost digits and limbs
I tell you no lies
conversations are also a fetish
But do I really save lives
engaging in very heavy petting
my own is incorrectly
diagnosed
salted and silted
veins of gold
tangled in the beads
counting all those worries
and wind chimes and candles
to chase away your ghosts
waiting again
for chances to pick up the pieces
for the first storm
wondering if I will get blown away.
