I notice by your syntax that English is not your first language. Are you
Russian? I am interested in the origin of letters.
For instance, English alphabet is derived from Old Latin, while Russian
alphabet is derived from Old Greek. But we also notice that Czar made
special letters which are still in use today.
If an English speaker knows the Greek alphabet, he can sound out many
Russian letters, but some letters do not match anything that way and he
still does not know what he is saying.
