ST. JOHN CHAPTER EIGHT, VERSE SIX
a hare to pace ---- seeds upon a prize
as a foot upon the earth is
unrewarded as fingers in a shoe (glass
slipper, but, rewards the viewer)
ST. JOHN CHAPTER EIGHT, VERSE EIGHT
as any foot upon the earth is Virginia unrewarded
as fingers in a shoe, as that same old crusted bawl lodged
in craving mouths... laborious, these curs; failing night
they, wishfully bounteous, try for morning... failing morning
they shoot, wishfully bounteous, for noon & every glossy ruin
