This started with little more in mind than seeing
the name of the Nagasaki pilot "Fred Olive" and
being struck that this seemed like a rather comical
name.
I had almost forgotten all the religious symbolism
surrounding olives, because I am not religious.
At the time, I wasn't even certain about the origin of
the term "olive branch"- it could have dated back to
some tradition in ancient Rome, for all I knew, having
nothing to do with religion.
I would have been one normally inclined to eschew
symbolism as a rather low, superstitious mindset, but
who knows, maybe our superstitions sometimes have a
basis in something.
Whether the basis is in spies and mind control, or aliens,
or witches, or God or demons, or merely illusion,
is an exercise for the reader.
Don't look at me- I don't have a clue, either.
The weirdness is just "out there".
