I suppose that it must be depressing to see a human being
who sincerely is ceasing to care whether the human race
annihilates itself or not.

NOBEL LAUREATE ALLEGES AIDS BIOWAR ORIGIN
Kenyan ecologist Wangari Maathai, the first African woman to win
the Nobel Peace Prize, has defended her claim that the AIDS
virus was a deliberately created biological agent.
The United States on Friday congratulated Ms Maathai on winning
the Nobel Peace Prize, but tempered its praise over her claims
about AIDS.
"She said (HIV/AIDS) was invented as a bio-weapon in some
laboratory in the West," a senior State Department official said.
"We don't agree with that."
The idea that AIDS began as a plot by Western scientists to
control Africa's population is commonly heard across Africa.

The above is excerpted from a Boston Globe article ("Nobel Laureate
defends her suggestion that AIDS stems from plot", by Wangui Kanina,
Reuters, Oct 10, 2004), and from New Dawn ("Nobel peace laureate
claims HIV deliberately created", Oct. 9, 2004).
Probably, there will now begin a campaign to defame and ridicule
a Nobel Laureate. Probably, there will be a subtle, racist,
unacknowledged implication that this woman is from a "backward"
continent, and that therefore she has backward, "ignorant" views.
More likely, it is the average, middle-class reader of this
essay who is ignorant, and it this woman who has a better clue
concerning the political and social realities that remain the
dirtiest secrets of our time. To avoid your own future
humiliation, please try to make sure that it is not you
who represents the average, middle-class, complacent reader.
She is courageous for speaking out, at risk to her reputation.
When Germany lost World War II, the allies had to take German
citizens personally to view the corpses of murdered Jews, with
their own eyes. They knew that otherwise, the German people
would simply refuse to believe it, and would consider it to be
propaganda from their enemies.
The truths of the origins of AIDS are not really difficult to see,
for anyone who really cares to see. Most people, including
liberals, conservatives, and even most of my fellow gay people
who have been targets of sophisticated, covert murder, do not
really care to see.
Propaganda works the most effectively, when people are being
comforted with what they want to hear. The human race is nothing,
without its illusions. Most people would have a difficult time
getting up and facing the day, if they had to be fully connected
with life's ugliness.
Some of the closest people in my life virtually admit this.
They say they already have enough painful things with which
to deal. They do not want to torture themselves with the suspicion
that their kind was murdered, if they cannot be absolutely sure.
They can never be absolutely sure, so they do not want even to
start down that path.
Others say that even if it is true, no one will ever listen or
believe it, so why waste your time? With this attitude, they
do not even bother to read about the subject in any depth,
or to form an educated opinion of their own.
If people had to face the full horror of what has been done to
them and their friends, then they would have to confront their
own impotence to do anything about it. They would have to
admit responsibility for their own failure to take action against
the powers that murdered their kind.
It would be somewhat akin to person, living an ordinary life,
needing suddenly to go off to Europe to make war against a
murderous monster, knowing that this course of action might
be almost certain self-destruction. How much easier to cling
to your own little house, garden, job, hobbies, parties with
friends, and your vacations, when all that you need to do
in order to feel good about it is to listen to the comforting
reassurances that it is just a baseless rumor, and no one is really
murdering the Jews.
When confronted with the truth, people in this mindset will
react sometimes angrily, as if you had stormed into their
living room with an axe, and were starting to chop up their
precious family heirlooms. After all, that is an approximate
equivalent of the psychological effect. Who wants to trade the
pride of being an American, heroic defender of freedom,
and instead see your country take a place in the national
Hall of Historical Shame, right alongside Germany?
Even gay people have a sense of self-identification with
their country, abusive parent figure though it may be.
Their self-image and sense of security would suffer,
with the realization.
They will scoff, and say that it is preposterous, that we are nothing
like that at all.
But it is not at all plain to see, when you are not seeing simply what
you want to see.
It plain to see that when blacks were gaining protections under
the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the states of Alabama and Mississippi
were voting on whether to enact death penalty, for a single
instance of homosexual activity. By only a single vote, did we
avoid having this become a reality. By this example alone,
it would be absurd to say that there is no conceivable justification
to make comparisons to Nazis Germany.
When sodomy laws were first challenged in the U.S. Supreme Court,
the Chief Justice remarked, "Homosexuality- didn't they used to put
people to death for that?". Then, he gave a history lesson about
ancient Roman death penalties, as if this formed a moral basis for
treating gays as a criminal class of human beings.
When this Chief Justice died, the "liberal" President Clinton had
warm words of praise for him, and the "liberal" media characterized
him also as having a "liberal" record.
Examples like these are not uncharacteristic rarities. They positively
abound, from the Presidency, to the Congress, to the United States
military- attitudes that are murderous in spirit, degrading gays and
lesbians to the point of literally dehumanizing them.
Congressman William Dannemeyer, who controlled AIDS funding
for a time, and who was a close friend of Ronald Reagan, had on
his paid staff an open genocide advocate, Dr. Paul Cameron, who
called gays "feces eaters" and publicly stated that gays should
be exterminated if "medically necessary". The major media made
almost no issue of this. Instead, they tell us about the "grace" and
"charm" of the great American icon, Ronald Reagan.
The murderous climate is not difficult to see. The consequences
of that murderous climate are predictable, and they are also not
difficult to see.
The connection of the African AIDS epidemics to vaccine campaigns
has long been suspected. Former BBC correspondent Edward Hooper
wrote a 1000+ page book, entitled "The River" to examine that
connection. The Boston Globe dismissed this lengthy tome with a tiny
newsbrief measuring at most a few inches.
There has also been a long-alleged connection of the gay American
AIDS epidemic, to completely separate vaccine experiments. Hooper,
who focuses only on Africa, and who alleges only a vaccine "accident",
cannot seem, for all his meticulous care, to notice the significance
of lightning strike twice, like a second airliner hitting the second
tower, only a few hours later.
One plane hitting a tower might be simply a heart attack of a pilot.
A second plane, doing the same thing, is something else.
On an emotionally neutral subject, a conversation once came up
among gay friends, concerning a local fast-food franchise, that
was accused in court of spreading hepatitis through an infected
employee, who did not use proper sanitary measures. The question
came up, how could this be proven in court, when people can
get hepatitis by natural coincidence.
A good friend explained with an almost patronizing sense of
authority that there are statistical measures that could be applied,
to compute the odds, based on the numbers of people who
used that restaurant, versus the rate of hepatitis occurring
in the general population.
You can apply exactly the same logic to the experimental
hepatitis vaccines that were given to gay men, under a government
"study" in the 1970s. You can take great lengths to compare
"apples with apples", making sure that you are comparing the
gay men in the hepatitis studies not simply with the general
population, but with other gay men who had equal frequencies
of unprotected sex.
It should be a warning flag to you, simply how no prominent
scientists in our country have published or even attempted such an
obvious and straightforward analysis. It is not advanced math
of any kind, but is a standard and relatively simple calculation,
if you have the necessary data.
I had brushed up on my college statistics, until I could
reliably duplicate the results of existing, published studies,
and I applied this same kind of analysis to the question of
whether the hepatitis vaccines were responsible for
initiating the AIDS epidemic among gay men:

I had confirmed the meaning and interpretation
of the data, directly with the distinguished scientist who
was its source. I confirmed the correctness of the computation
with a statistics professor.
The result is overwhelmingly compelling, and pointing to the fact
that white gay men and black Africans do indeed have something
in common- they were in all probability mutual targets of intentional
murder, by a government almost as sophisticated as it is corrupt,
and so skilled at the art of propaganda, that it would have put
the Nazis to shame.
Many people have protested that no matter what the statistical
evidence, it is unimaginable that the government would have
released something that might have risked the general population
as well.
However, it is plain to see that our government *did* know
about a deadly new disease that was on the loose, and did *not*
seem to have any great concern. The "greatest" President of
the last century, the charming and affable Ronald Reagan,
not only failed to mention the word for years, but wanted
to slash the CDC budget, severely.
It is characteristic of a sick and murderous culture, who hates
a minority so obsessively, also to have an inflated self-image
that imagines the stuff "greatness" in itself and its leaders.
When the educated and advanced nations of Germany and
Japan once plunged the world into a reckless war, they
surely must have known that the lives of millions of their
own citizens were at risk, as well. Yet, they had grand
visions about reshaping their world, and did it anyway.
To wipe out the undesirables and assert control for their
own brave, wholesome and superior selves, was their
overriding concern.
It is also clear that the amount of white, non-drug-using,
non-criminal, heterosexual AIDS that developed in this
country over nearly a quarter of a century, is nothing
that would bother right-wing racists and homophobes.
Perhaps the schemers were a little more sophisticated
than the general public, and had good reason to believe
that it was going to turn out that way.
Other critics claim that our government would not have
had the sophistication to engineer a virus, at the time.
That argument is absurdly weak. If it were really true
that the virus developed naturally in chimps, then it would
have been necessary only to discover an existing virus in
chimps, and experiment by injecting it repeatedly into humans,
until it adapted to humans.
At one time, chimps were so cheap that you could buy them
for a dollar. I made that same remark at one time, to the same
friend who had described how the courts could evaluate
the fast-food hepatitis claims. He asked where I could
get all these little facts. I answered that it was in the Hooper book,
"The River", which he previously could not understand why
I was bothering to read. My friend basically responded by
saying , "Oh."
Chimps are among our closest genetic relatives. Scientists have
used so many chimps as to help to endanger the population.
Many viruses had been catalogued in chimps and primates.
There were also published studies that demonstrated knowledge
of the detailed structure of retroviruses, similar to HIV, well
before the outbreak of AIDS. If any appreciable percentage
of the chimp population had been infected with an HIV-like
virus, it would have been astonishing is scientists had *not*
discovered it.
Can a black woman in Africa be a white knight to break
down the world of lies in which we live, and bring some
measure of justice back to the human race?
Not alone, she can't. The powers-that-be will undermine
and discredit her, if more people do not start speaking out.
She will be under enormous pressure to back down and
change her tune.
Sometimes, it is the so-called "conspiracy theorists" who have
the real depth, and have the gift for skeptical, critical investigation.
It is the complacent, manipulated, average citizen who fails
to be critical, and to question in depth.
Countless gay men have been in such deep denial, that they
could not face their own true sexual orientations. It is just too
painful, and too disruptive of one's world, to face a realization
that is so unsettling.
Denial is not just a problem of closeted gay men. It is one
of most prominent themes in human conduct. There are many
forms of it.
Denying the signs of deep corruption and hatred around you,
denying the relatively commonplace political murders, are
more aspects of the same phenomenon.
If the truth ever does come out of the closet, it will have a
profound effect on our politics. The open contempt shown
to gays currently will become as unfashionable as open
anti-Semitism would be.
Even today, the United States Congress cannot manage
to grant gays and lesbians equal protection under the 1964
Civil Rights Act. They cannot even grant gays and lesbians equal
protection under federal hate-crimes laws.
That is perhaps because the United States Congress is itself
soaked in hatred. In the halls of Congress, we have heard
shouts of "Queer! Queer!" aimed at a fellow Congressman.
In the halls of Congress, a red carpet was rolled out for
a right-wing fundamentalist who has suggested that gays
be put into camps. In the halls of Congress, there was
misty-eyed sentimentality for former Senator Jesse Helms,
a man so bigoted that he once wanted to deny Social
Security benefits to elderly gays and lesbians.
In the halls of Congress, there was also some interesting
testimony, about 10 years before outbreak of AIDS,
suggesting that such a virus would be possible [1].
The U.S. government has demonstrated repeatedly,
subtly and not-so-subtly, that the lives of gays are
cheap in their eyes.
It is time that the gay population started to open its
eyes, to realize that this contempt and loathing has
led, predictably, to much more serious consequences.

SYNTHETIC BIOLOGICAL AGENTS
There are two things about the biological agent field I would
like to mention. One is the possibility of technological
surprise. Molecular biology is a field that is advancing very
rapidly and eminent biologists believe that within a period of 5
to 10 years it would be possible to produce a synthetic
biological agent, an agent that does not naturally exist and for
which no natural immunity could have been acquired.
MR. SIKES. Are we doing any work in that field?
DR. MACARTHUR. We are not.
MR. SIKES. Why not? Lack of money or lack of interest?
DR. MACARTHUR. Certainly not lack of interest.
MR. SIKES. Would you provide for our records information on what
would be required, what the advantages of such a program would
be. The time and the cost involved?
DR. MACARTHUR. We will be very happy to. The information follows:
The dramatic progress being made in the field of molecular
biology led us to investigate the relevance of this field of
science to biological warfare. A small group of experts
considered this matter and provided the following observations:
1. All biological agents up the the present time are
representitives of naturally occurring disease, and are thus
known by scientists throughout the world. They are easily
available to qualified scientists for research, either for
offensive or defensive purposes.
