Hey ac, I didn't know you knew all this stuff!
I had another problem starting in August of last year. Perhaps I'm
lucky, but I am one of those guys, that other than the flu, I never get
headaches.
Just briefly, suddenly I started getting headaches. My doc decided I
had a years old low grade sinus infection, and they prescribed
antibiotics. While this was going on, I had this very wierd thing
occur. I started with the knees and the pain was closest to Bursitis.
For the next few months it would randomly move into my elbows, wrists,
and ankles.
It was really strange. I'd wake up in the morning and have to take
inventory! "Okay, this knee's okay, that one hurts like hell... The
elbows are okay, but this wrist is going to give me problems today..."
And I still had the headaches...
When I had the stroke, all the bursatis symptoms had gone away, but I
still had the headaches. My newly "collected" neurologist was the one
that prescribed the Topamax. She told me that it would relieve the
headaches I was having.
Once I got home, I took this stuff religiously, but after I read what
this drug is really for, I immediately weaned my self off this stuff.
For the most part, it's a depression medication, and it's the kind of
thing that you cant simply stop. It can cause "prescription-induced
seizures!
I didn't want any part of that stuff...
And besides, I am back to being "headache-less..."
Also, I have a question.
You said, "... you need high doses to reduce your INR..."
What is "INR?"
Thanks buddy! I appreciate the information.
I have also added baby aspirin to the regimen.
