Welcome newbie.
First, these aren't Google Groups, this is Usenet.
Google simply archives the message portion for posterity.
As such, the binaries [pictures] aren't available.
Secondly, you should munge your email address, or get a disposable one.
Typing it as cowtownesq @yahoo.com is kinda meaningless when you're
exposed in your headers.
[although by the time you read this you'll have already been scraped]
I guess that brings up a third...if you're going to post, be careful
what you do or say because the fact that your posting from a machine @
Bailey & Galyen near Richardson TX is kinda out there for all to see.
As for seeing the pictures, you need to configure your reader for
whatever SBC/ATT/SWBell is using as a newserver this week.
It used to be something like news-server.sbcglobal.net, but your member
page will give you specifics.
If you're really into it, I recommend subscribing to easynews.com
It's under $10/mo and you have access to all the groups. [SBC/ATT news
servers, as with most ISPs, are pretty shitty]
Plus, the web interface is great for indexing and such.
hth.
