You are accessing this group, part of usenet, through google. That is
not a direct access to usenet and that is why you can't see the pics.
Last year aol discontinued their newsgroup access feature (which never
worked so good to begin with, as you couldn't post pics easily).
To access usenet newsgroups, you need to get yourself a news server
since aol no longer provides one. Although it is expensive since you
are starting out you may wish to go with the best, which is giganews
(put giganews into google or it may just be www.giganews.com, I'm not
sure.
You also need software to access the groups. Do not use an internet
browser or an e-mail program (like outlook) to access the groups
(although it is possible to do). A specialized news reader is the way
to go. I explain newsreaders here:

(although I wrote that a couple years ago, most of the info there is
still good and will give you background)
