Hi, yEnc is a newer encoding format for posting binary files (digital
photos, etc) to newsgroups. It's been out for about a little under 5 years
or so, but Micrsoft still uses Base64, which I'm thinking has been around
for at least 15 years, maybe even more. And that particualr format is so
outdated these days, it's like tryng to surf the Internet using a Tandy
1000TX running DOS 3.0, and that particular model PC (sold at Radio Shack
ages ago) actually had a modem, but I'm pretty sure it was slow compared to
the old 14.4 modems Windows-basd PCs first shipped with.
