First off, there aren't "lots of us out here" that can't see the pics.
*Most* inhabitants of Usenet solved that issue long ago.

Few people sit on the sidewalk complaining they can't see the ballgame
through the solid fence without getting a ticket...
especially when the tickets are free.

Secondly, quit trying to use Outlook Express. At all.
For anything.
Not only is it not up to the task you seek, it sucks as an email program
and is one of the bigger security risks written.

Download and install Xnews.

It's free, installs painlessly, and does the job better than almost
anything else out there.

As for email, do yourself a favor [and those you send email to] and use
Thunderbird, Eudora, Netscape, Pegasus or anything other than OE.
