I've already said I have a fair amount of sympathy with your views ....

But you need to stop and think .....
The posters here post for free - therefore they are providing a service
- not satisfying a market .....
Whatever your (or my) views about the use of yEnc ... it doesn't matter
......
The "super nerdy" non-posting "experts" have the same standing in the
groups as most folk who are non-posters ..... absolutely NONE.
Only the posters count .... if they are technocrats or just OE users it
doesn't matter .... one of them is worth a thousand of us .... we sit
round spouting our worthless opinions .... while the posters - they get
off their arses and contribute.
If we lose a poster .... none of us ... yEncer nerd ... or ordinary
"most folk" get to see anything.
If we lose not many more ... we have nothing.
Like the Nerdy idiots who want everything to be "Just So" and jibe and
bitch when a real poster dares to not conform
(how do you conform in a rogue group?).
The level of a person's technological excellence counts for nothing ....
if they don't post .... they contribute nothing of worth. If they are
stupid enough to criticise poster's work .... they affect us all and
only detract.
