Cries of the winter cold
Blowing down my street corner
With the rain washing the old dust
From the renew of the water
Of this Melbourne city
The winds blow cold
On this a lonely Sunday morning
The streets have been cleaned
Sometime ago
As children did play
So did I, in these streets, of old and new
Everything changes
But somehow, just the same
Everywhere someone is travelling
From one point to another
What is in between, is the distance
As we all travel,
Travelling somewhere from some place
We feel, we who are in, the cold
Of the day from one day to another
Oh the cold, winter's day
