firenskill2000@aol.com is correct. Something is clearly
'wrong' with the latest DivX AVI clips. This happened
once before about two months ago on a series of your
clips. They show up complete on AOL, download and
appear to launch fine within AOL Media Player, but play
sluggishly with extraneous random video garbling. They
will not launch in Windows Media Player at all. When
I run DivFix 1.10 [aka DivX Fix] on them to 'repair' the
AVIs, it finds at least one + up to nine errors in each
video clip and after 'repair', both the audio + video are
garbled so badly as to be unplayable.
I do have the very latest video + audio CODECs + DivX
drivers, so not sure what is different about these files.
Identical results here:
[they play briefly in Real Player then stop all together,
but won't launch in WMP 10.0 at all].
