The French were 100% correct it turns out. They smeled a rat when
after Saddam caved and let the inspectors in (called our bluff) Bush
ordered the inspectors out because he had his mind made up for war a
couple years earlier.

You get real. The Iraq war was not a war of self-protection but a war
of PRETEXT. Phony, lying pretext. Hitler used to do that and because
of that our REAL war leaders (back in 1945) pushed to get that defined
as a War Crime at the Nuremberg Trials (and it's a basis for the
founding of the UN). It is the foundation of International Law that
WE pushed for, that WE promulgated. And for gee dubyah's craven
political purposes he trashed over 55 years worth of international
law, something we fought nobly for a couple generations for. He
showed the world that we were hypocritical and "anything goes" with
everyone. The world was with us after 9-11 and Bush squandered it
like no one could have.
