Well you know what, the man is dead and perhaps for willfully (he knew
what he was doing) ignoring the AIDs thing one could say something but
not use the term "mass murderer" for THAT.
However for all those central Americans that were murdered or
"missing" by right wingers Reagan financed, armed and advised, they
relatives of the dead and missing (or tortured) could make a case for
Reagan being a criminal.
In some cases it was mere gross negligence, like fostering the crazies
on the Pakistan/Afghanistan border, arming and financing Osama bin
Laden and company. getting them their start and getting them their
base of operations, all done in the name of fighting the Russians in
the early 80's.
Indeed, the Al Queda movement would not have been the same without
Reagan's nurturing and the CIA involvement with those crazy tribesmen
along the border to gain them Afghanistan instead of the Russian
backed (bit safer) regime.
So remember back in the 80's Dan Rather was hunkered down behind the
lines cheering the "freedom fighters" (as Ronald Reagan called the
Taliban/Osama)? Some freedom fighters. They were armed by Reagan,
allowed to grow by Reagan and given a base of operations (the
terrorist cesspool that Afghanistan became).
These "Freedom Fighters" later trained some crazies to drive 747's
into the World Trade Center.
G "dubyaa" Bush is trying hard now to compare himself to Reagan by
getting the deficit out of control. And he will also succeed in
making a country that was not for us but contained (Saddam's largely
secular Iraq) into cesspool stew of crazed religious martyrs and
terrorists.
Before the Iraq war Bush tried to falsely tie (to fool us, the rest of
the world knew it was a shitty lie) the Iraqis to terrorism. Now it's
a SELF-FULFILLING PROPHECY since thousands of terrorists are now
being created there and the process of radicalization for a generation
of young Iraqi men has begun (let alone other countries offended by
our unlawful occupation/prisoner treatment etc). So NOW Iraq is a
"terrorist" state.
