I've said this all along that AOL unquestionably has the
very BEST retrieval + retention rates of any "free" news
servers on the internet (where news access is included
in the cost of logging onto their service) + that the *real*
'problem' was somewhere between the poster's upload
server and AOL. Even though you've posted almost
350 (very large) binaries files in the past 30 days totaling
over 10 gigabytes, ALL 350 are complete on AOL and
ALL are still "available" for download. Please continue
to use USENETSERVER.com for uploads in the future.
I also thank you for taking another "breather"... While
AOL apparently has no problem retaining binaries for
30 days, most other "free" (no added cost) news feeds
are down to about 4 hours retention time. Comcast,
for example, only has the last 9 clips from last night's
71 clip posting run listed as unexpired.
I suspect Earthlink's news server retains more longer,
but pretty much all the "free" servers are expiring some
or most of yesterday's posts by now.
