I'm not 100 per-cent sure, but I believe that this was Spencer Kimball
who wrote this. He claimed that Indians who moved off the Utah
reservations, converted to Mormonism, and (most importantly) paid lots of
dough to the brethren in Salt Lake City were turning whiter by the day,
and some were indistinguishable from the Nordic-descended saints after
only a year or two of generous donations.
There is also a precedent in the "B.M." regarding some dude named Zelph,
who was so valiant a servant of Jesus that Elohim God made him "white and
delightsome" rather than "dark, loathsome and filthy" as he had been
born.
It's entertaining to note that in recent years the "B.M." has been
revised, and much of this race-baiting nonsense is conspicuously absent
now. I wonder why? After all, God is the same yesterday, today and
tomorrow. Doesn't he still hate injuns?

I dunno but he claims to have regular conversations with the divine
monarch. Some of his revelations are much more lucid and well-written
than those of Uncle Joe, but I suppose that's not hard to do. Never a
more dreary work have I read than the standard works of the Utah Saints.
