Add hindi language support if you are using WIndows 2000 You can do it
in following way

Start-> control panel -> Regional options -> language settings for system

Here click on the check box for Indic.

Windows will ask you to insert the installion CD.

After this on your toolbar you will get an option to select language.
If you select Hindi you can use devnagri in any of the microsoft tool.

There are two choices of layouts available ( Inscripts and traditional)
I am using inscript.
If you have installed hindi language support you can read the line below.
