I am wondering if there is anyone here who has been to Atlantic City and
gambled at some of the casinos. What I am wishing to find out is if they
are run like the casinos in Las Vegas, where there are no cover charges or
fees to enter a casino and the drinks are free while gambling, or if they
are run more like the Argosy and others near me that have a cover charge and
also charge gamblers for their drinks. After spending a week in Las Vegas
(at the Venetian, no less!!) I am more than a little reluctant to pay
someone to take my money (house has the odds, after all) nor do I think it
is a good idea to charge for drinks while gambling. For the customer, it is
an insult and smacks of greed. I mean, you drop a twenty bucks on the
blackjack table and a pretty thing offers you a drink--for two or three
bucks.
I love Las Vegas and cannot wait to get back. The buffets are to die
for, the girls are easy to look at, and the shows are top notch. Pop in a
casino, drop a few bucks in the slots, have a drink or two. . .life is good.
